We’ve been busy behind the scenes at Metis Bookshop getting ready for our Christmas markets, and we’ve got something a little bit different planned! 👀

📚 INTRODUCING OUR NAUGHTY OR NICE LUCKY DIP! 🎁

We’re creating some festive bookish stickers and bookmarks for our lucky dip, because what’s better than getting a little surprise at Christmas?

Getting a surprise that’s book-related, obviously! 😂📖

🎄 THE NICE LIST 😇
For those of you who return your library books on time, only buy books you actually intend to read (we see you 👀) and have definitely never hidden a book purchase from your other half.

🎅 THE NAUGHTY LIST 😈
For those who have a TBR pile that could qualify as a structural extension to their house, buy books faster than they can read them, or have ever said “I’ve got nothing to read” while surrounded by 47 unread books.

You know who you are. 😂

✨ Expect festive surprises, bookish goodies and a little bit of Christmas mischief!

We’ll be bringing our Naughty or Nice Lucky Dip along to our Christmas markets, so make sure you come and find us to see which list YOU end up on!

Although, between you and me, I suspect most of us bookworms belong on both. 🤣📚

Fancy volunteering your chatting at Outside The Box Board Game Cafe ?

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We are seeking volunteers to help at our Chatty Cafe. We host weekly Chatter and Natter tables on Wednesdays between 12pm - 3pm.

Chatty Cafe is a Nationwide Scheme whose purpose is to encourage human interaction and conversation, improving the lives of people affected by loneliness.

Our Chatter and Natter tables are open-to-all where anyone, of any age, can sit, chat and feel part of their community.

If you would like to support us as a volunteer table host and help others to feel part of a community then please get in touch.
