Apprentice Butcher Vacancy
Location: Gilbert's Butchers St.Neots
Hours: Full Time including Saturdays
Contract: Apprenticeship

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Apprentice Butcher to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career in the butchery industry.
You will receive full training through an approved apprenticeship scheme at M.E.A.T Ipswich while working alongside experienced butchers and completing a recognised apprenticeship qualification. All training will be completed in St.Neots.

Duties will include:
Learning all aspects of traditional butchery
Preparing and cutting meat under supervision
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
Cleaning and maintaining tools and work areas
Assisting with customer service and daily shop duties

The ideal candidate will be:
Willing to learn and develop new skills
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Comfortable working with meat and knives
Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
No previous experience required – full training provided

We offer:
A recognised butchery apprenticeship qualification
Hands-on training from experienced professionals
