We’ve Got a ProNutro Update, and You Might Not Like It 😬

If you’re wondering why we only have Strawberry ProNutro available at the moment, we can shed a little light on the situation here in the 🇬🇧

Following recent changes to the ProNutro recipe and production process in South Africa 🇿🇦 the manufacturer, Bokomo has faced customer backlash and, as we understand it, has temporarily STOPPED production of all ProNutro flavours while it works through the issues. 😳

At present, there is no confirmed date for when production will resume.

And as if that wasn’t bad enough, we also understand that both HoneyMelt and Wholewheat may already be stricken off the return list….

Until we get more news, we hope you like Strawberry 🍓😄 …. but when that’s gone it’s gone.

We’re absolutely delighted to welcome the Shoreside Cafe on the East Cowes Esplanade ⛵️☀️ as one of our newest Biltong & Bangers stockists, meaning you can now pick up a bag of our finest biltong 🇿🇦🥩 while simultaneously enjoying one of the nicest sea-gazing spots on the Isle of Wight! 🌊

On our first visit, we picked up the most delicious toasted tuna and cheese sandwiches we’ve ever had, and honestly, we still dream about them! (No, we don’t JUST eat biltong!) 😉

Getting to know Iso (pictured, right) has also been a real pleasure. 🧡 In her own words:

“I moved here from South Africa 🇿🇦 22 years ago but grew up in Namibia 🇳🇦. We spend our Christmases in Ballito, KZN. It’s my third year at Shoreside East Cowes and I see it as my happy place. I have a fantastic team, without whom I would be lost. I still feel so incredibly privileged to be able to live in England, but especially on the Isle of Wight.” 🙏

Standing proudly alongside Iso is Charlene, part of the team that helps make the Shoreside Cafe such a welcoming place.

It was wonderful to meet Sydney ladies, Andie and Alex from the Entertainment Team aboard MSC Virtuosa 🚢 🌊 - who popped in and discovered our Aussie & New Zealand section 🤠🇳🇿🇦🇺

While we can’t always import some of the much-loved South African chocolates, we’ve found some fantastic alternatives from Down Under that have become firm favourites in their own right. 💪
