A few months ago, City Boxes was just an idea.

Today we’ve passed 500 followers, built a full online shop, expanded our range of fresh fruit, vegetables and local produce, and continue to deliver across South Tyneside.

There are still plenty of challenges ahead, but every order, every recommendation and every bit of support helps us move one step closer to turning City Boxes into something really special.

Before another long day at work, I thought I’d take 10 minutes to enjoy a proper breakfast.

Fresh raspberries, kiwi, yogurt, oats and a little drizzle of honey 🥝🍓🍯

One thing City Boxes has taught me is just how much difference it makes when you have fresh fruit and healthy options readily available at home.

Sometimes it’s the simple things that make the biggest difference.

I’m back at my care job today for the first of four shifts, while Daryl keeps an eye on City Boxes and today’s deliveries 🚚❤️

When I started City Boxes, I honestly had no idea whether anyone would be interested.

What began as a simple idea to deliver fresh fruit and veg locally has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of, and that’s all thanks to you.

Every order, every like, every comment, every share and every recommendation means the world to a small family business like ours.

Thank you for supporting local, supporting small businesses, and supporting my dream of one day making City Boxes my full-time job.

We’ve now reached 500 followers and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to every single one of you ❤️
