Andy and I attended a beautiful wedding in our village yesterday and were delighted to be asked to create the wedding cheese cake 🥰
The bottom tier was a 2.8kg Colston Bassett Stilton, topped with a 1.7kg Cornish Yarg and a 1kg Alp Blossom Gouda. Cascading down the cake were five St Jude Brie, with three jars of Bumblees Chutney served alongside.
For anyone planning a wedding, this cheese cake contained around 6kg of cheese and catered for approximately 80 guests, working out at around 75g per person when served alongside other food.
If the cheese is being served as a course on its own, we would usually recommend allowing 100–120g per person.
