It’s time.

I’m sorry if this comes as unexpected news, but I wanted to reach out to you, our loyal customers, and let you know what's going on.

The chapter in my life where I run Khoo’s Hot Sauce as a full-time career is coming to an end this week.

This decision hasn’t come out of the blue. It’s something I’ve been moving towards for several years now. I’m at a point in life where, for me and my family, I need both a stable income and consistent working hours - and unfortunately, Khoo’s Hot Sauce has only ever been able to offer one of those at a time.

That said, this isn’t a sad ending.
I’m genuinely excited for the next step, as I begin training for a new career as a teaching assistant. And when I look back, Khoo’s Hot Sauce has been nothing short of incredible. What started as a hobby quickly grew into something that far exceeded anything I ever imagined.

And here’s the important part - it’s not over completely.

Khoo’s Hot Sauce will continue, just in a different form. Things will be scaled back to how they were in the early days: a hobby business, a passion project, something I return to when time allows.

So, what does this mean right now?
I begin my new job on Monday 27th April.

Online sales will continue as normal until this Thursday. After that, all products will be unavailable until further notice. Email subscribers will be the first to be notified as and when I make stock available.
I won’t be cooking any new batches for a while as I focus fully on settling into this new chapter.

So this week may be your last opportunity to get your hands on your favourite Khoo’s Hot Sauce products for a little while.

Finally, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you for your support over the last 14 years. Every single bottle you’ve bought has allowed me to keep chasing, and living, this crazy, spicy little dream of mine.

I don’t take that lightly.

Khoo’s isn’t disappearing. It’s just changing.

And I’m really excited to see where both journeys go from here.

Thai’d Up is back.

When we launched the first batch, it sold out in under two weeks - the fastest-selling batch of sauce we’ve ever made. All web stock gone before we really had time to catch our breath.

So many of you messaged asking when it would be back.
And those who managed to grab a bottle? You’ve been asking when you can get more.

Well - batch two is ready.

Same fresh, citrussy, herby Thai-inspired flavour.
But this time, we’ve dialled the heat up a notch. There’s a little more bite to it.

It’s bright. It’s fragrant. It cuts through rich food beautifully.
Dumplings, noodles, grilled meats, summer rolls - you know the drill.

Just a heads up, this is the last day to place orders on our site until christmas.
Please place your orders today if you want any of our products before christmas as all stock will be unavailable on our website from 10pm tonight until after christmas.

Right gang - a quick heads-up. Last orders for Christmas are a little earlier than usual at Khoo’s Hot Sauce this year. We’ll be closing the online shop this Friday, 12th December at 10pm.

I know this is earlier than in previous years, but I’ve got a few important commitments that need my attention before the new year. So this will be your last chance to grab sauce before Christmas.

This also means that we will have plenty of time to make sure everything gets packed, posted, and delivered safely before the festive rush kicks in.

If you need anything for gifts, stocking fillers, or your own festive feast, now’s the time.

Autumn's well and truly landed. It's time to start wrapping things up in the polytunnel. I've been harvesting bags of chillies this week, but there's plenty more to go.
A load of our habaneros and bhut jolokia plants have fully collapsed under the weight of all of their peppers, so I've been trying to support the branches so that the last of the chillies can ripen.

This summer’s weather has been perfect for our chillies 🌶️ — so much so that some of our plants have actually collapsed under the weight of peppers on each branch! It’s great news for the harvest, but it does mean a few extra hours of work for me, staking and supporting the plants so the rest can keep growing strong and ripening up nicely.

I’ll admit, I hadn’t even noticed the plants struggling at first… I’ve been a little tied up with something special we’ve been working on behind the scenes 👀. We’re nearly ready to share it with you, and trust me — you won’t want to miss this one.
