Some people don't just shop at True Food – they become part of its story.

Jessica first got involved in the 1990s, volunteering at True Food's market stalls. Today, she still shops with us, volunteers and helps steer the co-op as part of our committee.

She particularly enjoys restocking the shelves, which gives her the chance to explore new products and discover things she hasn't tried before.

For Jessica, True Food is about enjoying good food while caring for where it comes from: “Our food nourishes us, and the planet.” 🌱

🍂 Reasons to fall for True Food this autumn: We care about our community of suppliers! 💚
We had a very busy Sunday attending events at Tolhurst (magnificient pumpkins and amazing dumplings) and the Regenerative Food festival with Aston's Bakehouse (delicious bread and melt-in-the-mouth pastries) in Forbury Gardens.

Our relationship with our suppliers is really important to us. When you shop with us, you’re doing more than filling your basket — you’re supporting a community-owned co-op and local suppliers, that care about people, the planet and the people who produce our food. 🌱

🍂 Falling for True Food: Clive & Nicola 💚

Some people discover True Food – and never look back!

For Clive and Nicola, True Food has been part of family life for over 20 years. Nicola first discovered us at our early markets around Reading. Today, Clive volunteers at the shop twice a week, and the family continues to shop with us.

They especially love our loose products, which can be much cheaper than equivalent packaged organic goods in supermarkets.

As Clive says: “Organic food can cost a little more, but it’s good value when you consider the benefits.”
