Dear Rayleigh Community,

Due to the overwhelming number of applications we’ve received for the job openings at Spuddies & Sweet Cravings, we have decided to meet all interested candidates in person at our store. This will help us better understand each applicant beyond their CV.

To date, we have received over 100 applications. As many of you know, we are currently undergoing renovations and also managing Essex Express, which has made it challenging to review each application individually.

We are currently offering four permanent full-time positions:
1. Two roles with working hours from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday to Saturday (Sunday off).
2. Two roles with working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday (Sunday off).

If you’re interested in either position, please come into the store on Tuesday, 10th June 2025, anytime between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM to express your interest and speak with us directly.

We look forward to meeting motivated individuals who would like to join our growing team.

We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of Spuddies & Sweet Cravings, our newest addition! The grand opening is currently scheduled for the 2nd of June, and we’ll keep you updated should there be any changes to this date.

As part of this exciting expansion, we’re now hiring! If you have experience working in a dessert shop and are passionate about great service, we’d love to hear from you.

Important Car Park Safety Update

We’d like to inform our valued customers that yellow bollards will soon be installed in the car park. These will help clearly define the boundary between Kindred Nursery and our store, enhancing overall safety for everyone.

Additionally, bollards will be placed at the entrance to 48 Eastwood Road (home to Spuddies and Sweet Cravings), near the locker area. This is to ensure that customers using the locker service around the corner can do so safely and with peace of mind.

Locker Service Expansion – Amazon Locker Coming Soon!

We’re excited to share that we are expanding our locker services to offer even more convenience for our customers. An Amazon Locker will soon be added to our site, providing another flexible option for sending and receiving parcels.

New Royal Mail Locker Coming Soon!

We’re excited to announce the launch of a new Royal Mail locker for sending and receiving parcels! The locker is conveniently located right next to the InPost locker on-site.

While the installation is complete, we’re currently awaiting final activation, which is scheduled for next week. We’ll keep you updated as soon as it’s fully operational.

Quick Update Regarding the InPost Locker

We understand how frustrating the delay has been and truly appreciate your patience throughout this process. We’re pleased to inform you that we are now nearing the end of the long wait for the locker activation.

According to the latest update from the InPost activation team, the locker should be fully operational by Monday. We kindly ask customers to allow until then for completion.
