Parents and carers: can your child's school be one of the 5 we're looking for? 🏫

Our Nature Programme turns an unused corner of school grounds into a thriving, productive growing classroom. Pupils follow a project from start to finish, building skills, confidence and a lasting connection with nature.

We're looking for 5 more schools to join us from the Spring term. Know a school that would love this? Introduce us through our school referral scheme.

💬 Leave a comment or send us a DM and we'll send you the link directly.

Potato storing tip! 🥔

Instead of lifting every potato at once, we leave some in the ground to store them. If we dug them all up, they could go green and start sprouting. In the soil, they stay nice and cool, which beats storing them in bags.

We'd harvested the bed behind us a couple of weeks before, and had just planted our Christmas potatoes too 🎄

Christmas potatoes? Yes! Plant them in late summer and they're ready for the Christmas table.

Save this one for next summer 🔖

Why are your carrots wonky? 🥕 Usually it's overcrowding. Here's how we avoid it:

🌱 Sow thickly along the row. If you sow too thin and a few don't germinate, you end up with bare patches.
✂️ Then thin them out. Find the clumps, leave about a thumb's width between each carrot, and pull out the extras.
✨ That space is what lets each carrot grow straight.

One for next sowing season, so save it for spring 🔖

Meet Andy! He first came along to one of our Easter wreath workshops in March last year, and has been a familiar face ever since.

Now, he's a huge part of what makes our space so special. Whether he’s facilitating workshops, bringing crafting to our market garden, or simply coming down to help out and connect, Andy has brought so much to our community.

We’ve always hoped to create a space where people can connect, find a sense of purpose, and feel at home, but it's people like Andy who truly bring that to life and make everything we do possible.
