🌟 THE TEAM BEHIND THE MARKET 🌟

You see the stalls. You see the traders. You see the buzz of the market…

But what you don’t see is the team who make it all happen — long before most of you are even awake! 👏

A huge shoutout to Andy, who brings all our stalls from storage to South Inch Car Park, and to our amazing stall team, who are up early and out in all weathers getting everything set up and ready for our traders to arrive.

🌧️ Rain? They’re there.
🌙 Dark? They’re there.
🥶 Cold mornings? They’re there.
☀️ Sunshine? They’re there too!

While the rest of us are still tucked up in bed, they’re busy making sure that by the time you arrive, the market is ready to go.

It takes a TEAM to bring you our fantastic farmers’ market, and we couldn’t do it without them. ❤️

So today, while you’re enjoying the market, take a moment to appreciate the people working behind the scenes.

🌟 WOWEEEE! 🌟

We have welcomed a huge number of new followers over the last month, so we thought it was probably time for a wee introduction! 👋💚

So, who are we? 👀

We’re Perth Farmers’ Market, and every month we bring around 45 amazing traders together at South Inch Car Park in Perth, where they showcase their makes, bakes and produce for all you wonderful customers. 🥕🥖🍰

You’ll find everything from organic vegetables, fresh bread and meat from the farmers themselves, to cakes, honey, jewellery, local w**e, gin and plenty more besides. 🍯🥩🍷💍

But here’s the really important bit…

🌱 Our traders actually make, grow, bake, rear or produce what they sell.

That’s one of the things that makes our market special. When you wander around our stalls, you’re not just buying a product, you’re meeting the people who quite literally made what’s sitting in front of you. ❤️

And we’re incredibly proud that more than half of our regular traders are Perthshire businesses, while our whole market team is also based right here in Perthshire.

But what about the people behind the market? 👇

Perth Farmers’ Market is run by a board of volunteers who give their time to help keep the market moving in the right direction. Alongside them, we have our wonderful Market Coordinator Yvonne, our tremendous stall team, the man with the pulling power to get those stalls exactly where they need to be 💪😂, and our lovely bookkeeper Emma, keeping everything behind the scenes in order.

It really does take a whole team! ❤️

And that team works hard to make sure the market stays true to the ethics and principles it was first built on 27 years ago. supporting genuine producers, championing local businesses and giving customers the chance to meet the people behind the products they buy.

For us, it’s all about supporting local wherever we can, keeping money within our local economy, championing independent producers and creating a market where producers and customers can actually connect.

So whether you’ve been coming to the market for years, or you’ve only just found us…

🎄✨ WE’RE POSITIVELY ELFING BUZZING! ✨🎄

We’re delighted to announce that we are bringing a very special Christmas Market to Perth City Centre as part of the Christmas Light Switch On celebrations! 🎅🏼🎄

For one festive weekend, we’ll be bringing together a fantastic selection of Food, Drinks & Craft traders, ready to showcase their wonderful products and help you get into the Christmas spirit. 🎁

This is a special Christmas Market with a different set-up to our usual Farmers’ Market, and we’ll also have a dedicated Kids’ area with festive crafts and activities for children of all ages. 🎨🎅

And there’s plenty more happening across Perth City Centre throughout the weekend, with a jam-packed programme of festive entertainment including the popular Lantern Parade, Cake Fest, local musicians and much, much more! ✨
