New to The Toffee Shop? Come on in…

We make everything by hand, the way we always have. We pack everything by hand too, right here in Penrith, where we’ve been cooking up our tasty treats for over 100 years.

We love creating seasonal specials like our autumnal Maple and Pecan fudge 🍁😍

We always like to take you along on our adventures, whether that’s here in the Lakes or further afield. As it happens, we’re preparing for our biggest adventure yet, but this one is definitely our most local…

Stick around as we continue our journey to our new home on King Street, it’s going to be sweet!

The ghost is back, and it’s brought a friend 👻👻

This year, they’ve taken a liking to the tasters (can’t blame them…), they’ve been hiding our secret ingredients, and even pushing boxes off the shelves - giving team toffee a real fright!

If you spot either of the ghosts in any of the photos above, comment BOO and send us a screenshot of the ghost. You’ll be in with a chance of winning a big box of treacle toffee, the perfect Halloween treat 🎃

⚠️Please be aware of scammers. The winner will only ever be contacted by The Toffee Shop’s official Instagram account () and by no other means. We will never ask you to click a link or provide payment derails or claims your prize. UK addresses only.

There’s something special lurking within the castle walls… 🏰👀

Did you know you can find us at Lowther Castle & Gardens ? A very special fudge made with sea salt and local Lowther honey awaits!

While you’re there, why not hire a bike from Arragons Cycle Hire and explore the local trails, visit the courtyard cafe, and treat yourself to an extra special, extra local Toffee shop treat!

Shhh… 🤫

A little sneak peek of what’s been going on in our new home on King St this week. There’s LOTS happening, but we’re not quite ready to reveal it all just yet…

Watch this space 🤎

What does our new furniture and our fudge and toffee have in common?…

They’re handmade, with love, time, and traditional methods.

Does anyone else get as excited about this stuff as we do?!? 😆🤎💛

Where else can you shop, work, catch a movie, take the kids to soft play, explore an art exhibition, do some Christmas shopping AND buy your favourite Toffee Shop treat?

You can find us in the Deli Shop and in the fuel station.

What’s your favourite thing about , and did we miss any hidden gems?! 🤎

Wait a second… who’s been messing around with our letters?

We’re not complaining, by the way. We actually reckon it looks rather swanky.

What do you think? Should we keep our fingers crossed that the rest of the letters get swapped out soon too? 🤞

We just love how the sun pours through our window here on Brunswick Road.

But… it gets us even more excited thinking about the windows at our new shop.

Wait until you see what we’ve been working on... 👀🤎

Autumn, boxed 🍁

Crisp walks, golden leaves, and a sweet treat to come home to. Our Maple and Pecan fudge is made for this time of year!

Although, with the four seasons we seem to be getting in one morning here in Penrith, we’ll take the autumn vibes where we can get them 🤣🍁🤎

Have you tried our new addition yet?!
