FINALLY!!! After months of humming and hawing, we finally made the leap and installed power in the shop at Rosemains steadings. We have a fully stocked freezer, shelves of pastured eggs, a working till, and even lights!! Make sure you swing by this weekend to try our woodland pork, grass-fed mutton, and pastured eggs. More exciting products are on their way in the following weeks. If you want a local food source to survive and continue to grow on your doorstep, it’s time to come and support us. See you soon!

We had our first volunteer day today, and it was amazing! So grateful to everyone who turned up, thank you so much. Really felt the beginnings of a community starting to form around the farm. If I’m totally honest, I was taken aback that so many (read anyone) turned up, so was still in the middle of doing my chores. We had to haul water to the animals as all their lines had frozen, Cuddled some piglets, then got started on the poly tunnel. After a very short time, it became clear that I had needed to give a little bit more thought on the placement than ‘yeh, about there’ and i was amazed that at one point the group cracked out a bit of Pythagoras theorem to find square (duly impressed). We got two arches raised and marked out the footprint. Finished off with some Bramblewood Bacon rolls in the winter sun. All in all, a lovely Saturday morning. Thank you so much for coming. Once we get our first few collection days refined (Saturdays), we’ll look to try and make these a regular feature on our calendar. See you all soon!
