Anybody catch Farmer Richard on the tele today?

Tv and radio in the same day, quite the celebrity 😀

Whilst many will know us for pumpkins and the lovely bar night & events we run, at the heart of it we are a working family farm.

We depend on government funding and diversification because sadly income from agriculture alone barely covers the cost of farming some years.

This years’ Sustainable Farming Initiative (SFI26) budget was £180million and was allocated to farms across England in less than 6 hours.

Many farmers (including us) lost out on tens of thousands of pounds because demand was so high.

Surely that demonstrates the current state of British Farming & the competition we face in securing much needed funding??

We are incredibly fortunate to be part of a local community who support British Farming and for that we are truly grateful 🙏🏼
