Raw vs cooked protein… why does the weight change?

You start with 200g raw… and suddenly it’s 150g cooked.
No, your protein hasn’t disappeared.

When you cook meat, it loses water and fat.
That’s what causes the drop in weight, not a loss of protein.

So 200g raw chicken ≠ 200g cooked chicken.
The macros are the same, the weight just isn’t.

This is where people get confused when tracking.

Track it raw for accuracy, or be consistent with how you log it.
Just don’t mix the two.

Understand this, and your tracking becomes a whole lot easier 👏
