And that's a wrap! Last bags this week and finished for the season. Managed to get a final harvest of broccoli in before the end which is a tasty treat. The second half of this years deliveries feels like it's flown by! As with every year there's been plenty of challenges, up's and down's and learning to take forward into next year. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and enjoyed our produce this year! We're taking a much needed break before it all begins again with the first seed sowing in late January. We hope everyone has a great Xmas and New Year!

Penultimate delivery this week before finishing up for the season. We have some of our lovely salad rock in the bags this week. It seemed to take an age to grow but has made it just in time!

We've got some lovely veg from Chapel Farm Organics supplement our bag this week. It's having another producer so close where we can buy fresh good quality veg like potatoes, onions, leeks allowing us to free up space for growing things like broccoli, celery and lettuce for these colder months.

Still lots of broccoli this week, it'll be interesting to see how it grows next week as the temperatures start to turn. We've got the first of the parsnips in the bags too and I am looking forward to roasting these up at the weekend along with the other veggies for Sunday lunch. Eating seasonally it's been a while since we've had a taste of the lovely sweet nutty flavour 😋

A lovely green looking bag of veg this week with the broccoli, cabbage and celery joining the kale and lettuce. There was an amazing fresh smell coming off the celery when we were harvesting it, you certainly don't get that off the stuff you buy in the supermarkets!

A photo dump of the broccoli and cabbage this week because why not! 😂 Autumn really is the season for brassicas. There were some lovely big broccoli heads which we harvested so hopefully there will be lots of lovely tenderstem spears for the coming weeks!

We're loving the winter lettuce right now as it's such a vibrant green and tastes so fresh! Last of the squash in this week but plenty of new veg to come in next week to replace them.

No veg deliveries this week but we've got some lovely fresh greens ready for the coming weeks! The lettuce has bulked up over the last few weeks in the polytunnel and we've had the celery under fleece just to help bring it on.

First of the squash in this week after it's been curing in storage for a couple of weeks. This is suppose to help develop it's flavour. On the whole they were a bit smaller than last year which we think is down to the dry weather we had. We'll be using ours to make a warming soup for the chillier days ahead.

The cabbage we grew have been great and we're pleased with this years trial. We're always trying to learn with what veg/varieties/spacing/timing work so it's great when you get it right! Next year we're definitely going to space them apart more as they got pretty bulky and the red cabbage needs to be sown sooner as we think it's not so suited to growing in autumn like the other varieties. They're also pretty nice to look at too!

We've got our late sown spring onions in this week. They worked really well going into the polytunnel for extra warmth and protection. We also planted some outside and the difference between the two is remarkable! The French beans are hanging in there and we've our fingers crossed that they aren't going to get blown over in this storm!!!
