Proof, if proof were needed, of the real reason farmers are grumpy.
Drove down a 2 m wide bridleway across a cultivated field to get to a property nearly a mile away.
The only reason I can laugh is; it’s not on our farm. Commiserations to our neighbours.

Oops! Don’t let David do the ordering: pumpkin purchasing got a little out of control!
Avoid the Halloween craziness and buy with us this year.
Also great deals with all meat from the freezer half price and all jams and chutneys only £1.50 a jar while stocks last.
Finally don’t shoot the messenger but Christmas is sneaking up on us too; order you turkey with all the trimmings today to avoid disappointment.

Good news. We finally have our hay and straw in the barn, ready for sale. Small hay bales are at £6 this year and large bales are £60. Small straw bales are still £3 and large straw are £50. Small bales are available for delivery by small trailer load and large bales are available for delivery in ones or twos.
Also coming at the end of the summer are handy size haylage and large haylage, with prices to be confirmed shortly.
One small piece of bad news: we will be closed on 25th and 26th August so we can attend a trade event. I had hoped to not close at all but driving nearly 1000 miles in 24 hours doesn’t feel like a good plan!
