It is the time of year where you may find Bumble Bees move into your gardens. They are typically happy working away without causing much bother when left alone. Consider it a compliment that you have such an inviting home & take pleasure in the knowledge that you are helping our local pollinators!

Things to note:
- They tend to love bird boxes in particular but can be found anywhere.
- They usually won't sting unless provoked but best not chance it if possible.
- Their life cycle is short, they should be gone around August without intervention.

This particular box is at my mum's house & it's a joy to watch them at their work! 🐝🐝❤️❤️

We’ve been quietly working away in small batches to bring together a collection of beeswax lip balms made the traditional way - simple, effective, and rooted in the craft of beekeeping.

Each balm is built on a base of natural beeswax and blended with carefully chosen essential oils or left completely unscented for those who prefer things plain and gentle. Nothing unnecessary, just practical lip care that protects, softens, and holds up well through everyday weather.

From bright citrus notes like sweet orange, lime, and grapefruit, to calming blends like lavender, chamomile, and rose geranium, through to warming ginger, refreshing peppermint, and a pure unscented option -there’s something here for every preference.

All made in small batches with a focus on consistency, quality, and respect for the ingredients we work with every day in beekeeping.

For the last number of years, I’ve joyfully announced our presence at the Balmoral Show - but this year is different.

You won’t find Marshall Beekeeping at the show. In fact, you may have noticed we’ve been absent from quite a few of our regular events recently. That’s not to say you won’t see us at all. There are still a select number of events where we’ll be setting up shop, and I truly hope to see all of our loyal customers and fellow bee lovers there.

I really wish I could do it all: be the beekeeper I need to be so the bees always come first, continue creating and innovating products that showcase just how amazing bee products are, and attend every show possible to spread the love - but for Marshall Beekeeping in 2026, that simply isn’t possible.
