Shavuos tables are often filled with cheesecakes, blintzes, and creamy dairy dishes, but not everyone wants a dairy-heavy meal. These crispy beef and pesto wrap pockets are the perfect savoury alternative: crunchy on the outside, juicy and flavourful inside, and incredibly easy to prepare. They’re great as a starter, light meal, or freezer-friendly snack to have ready for Yom Tov guests and family.
Best of all, they can be fried for that classic crispy finish or air-fried for a lighter option.

Crispy Beef & Pesto Wrap Pockets
Ingredients
1 pack minced beef
2 TBS pesto
1 pack mini wraps
1 egg, beaten
Breadcrumbs
Method
In a bowl, mix the minced beef with the pesto. Lay a mini wrap flat and place about ⅔ tablespoon of the meat mixture in the centre. Fold the wrap like an envelope to seal the filling inside.
Dip each filled wrap into the beaten egg.
Roll in breadcrumbs, making sure the entire wrap is fully coated.
Cook either:
In oil: Fry until golden brown and cooked through.
In the air fryer: Air fry until crispy and browned.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Tips
These freeze beautifully, prepare ahead and freeze before or after cooking.
Serve with tahini, garlic dip, or a fresh Israeli salad.
Perfect for Yom Tov entertaining.
