Today, we share the sad news of the passing of our much-loved colleague,
Joanne Houston.
Joanne was a valued member of our kitchen team for over five years and became a dear friend to so many of us along the way.
She brought energy, laughter, determination, and a spirit that could light up even the busiest of days. If something stood in Joanne's way, it rarely stayed there for long.
She faced life with courage, humour, and a strength that inspired everyone around her.
Even throughout her illness, the kitchen team never lost hope that one day she would walk back through those doors. That hope remained with us right to the end, a reflection of how much she meant to all who worked alongside her.
After a brave battle with cancer, Joanne passed away on Sunday. She faced her journey with remarkable faith, confidence, and fearlessness, and we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace and with her Lord and saviour.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and all those who loved her. Joanne leaves behind countless memories, friendships, and stories that will continue to be shared for years to come.
The world feels a little darker without her, but we are grateful for the time we had with her and for the lasting mark she has left on all our lives.
Rest in peace, Joanne. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
