On Sunday 14 June, Ormside x Riddim Chango host a dub focused evening exploring its sonic dimensions.
Japan's , dj / producer and co-owner of the imprint joins us for a rare dj set after relocating to Kyoto. During his 9-year stint in the UK, he immersed himself in the UK’s soundsystem culture, working as a Reggae buyer at a second-hand record shop and building the label’s back catalogue with notable releases, including collaborations with Jamaican poet Nazamba, a potent exploration of black oppression and the boundary-pushing Andromeda EP with the LA/JA dancehall collective, Duppy Gun.
Brussels-based , work sits at the intersection of sound, politics and community - driven by a deep commitment to collective spaces and a signature focus on heavy, physical bass weight through dub, dancehall and the industrial.
Manchester legend and Ormside family, - a shapeshifting DJ, who has gone through many musical eras; through mid 90s Manchester raves, helping to break Equiknoxx into Europe, and his deep and diverse NTS Shows.
affiliate and Reckless Records don, completes the bill with his eclectic selections and open-minded approach, developing his sound since his early days in London record shops in the late 90s.
There will be a BBQ with the outside terrace open from 5pm onwards.
