Our ethical business promotion for this month is an important one for Get Loose. Ethical Consumer Magazine is our go to resource for helping choose our products.
They have a transparent rating system for companies to help us cut through the green wash and make inform choices.
Many of the companies we use are Ethical Consumer “best buys”.
They have a subscription offer for customers.

Positive News and Conservation Charity Marine Conservation Society report that plastic bag litter on Britain’s beaches is down 80% following the introduction of charges 11 years ago.
They are hopefully the deposit return scheme on other items, coming in next year, will have a similar effect.

With so many new customers coming through the doors, we are re sharing our “how to refill series”. This week teas and coffee.

Just weigh your container on the scales outside, it doesn’t have to be empty. Fill is what you need, your container doesn’t have to be full.

For the coffee, note which kind you choose, and let staff know at the till.

Did you know we now stock citric acid?
Just inside the front door on the right.
It is amazing for dealing with the London hard water.

Descale your kettle by half filling, boil, add 2tsp stand until cool. Empty (not via spout) to remove any dislodged limescale.
Refill boil and discard.

Why don’t we have any tinned sardines?
A number of customers have been asking this question.

Don’t worry we haven’t stopped stocking them, we can’t get them from our supplier.
