Today we write one of the hardest messages since we began our journey at Made in Portugal.
After a long period of reflection, resilience, and doing everything within our power, the time has come to close our doors.
Our dream at Made in Portugal was a simple one: to bring a piece of home, our culture, and our food to those living far away. It became a place of connection, of long conversations, shared memories, comfort, and pride in our roots. It became a hub for our community, Portuguese or otherwise.
Along this journey, we faced immense challenges. Personal, emotional, financial, and structural. We did what we knew how to do, and what we didn’t. We gave everything we had, often more than was sustainable.
There was love, sacrifice, sleepless nights, and days when sheer determination was the only thing keeping us going.
Unfortunately, giving everything is not always enough.
This decision does not erase what was lived here. Nothing can take away the people who walked through these doors, the customers who became family, the support, the kind words, the smiles, and the trust you placed in us.
To everyone who was part of this story: Customers, friends, staff, suppliers, and family. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. Made in Portugal was real, intense, and deeply genuine.
We close our doors, but we carry with us everything we learned, everything we felt, and everything we built together. And that can never be taken away.
With gratitude and respect,
Made in Portugal 🇵🇹❤️
