I have always thought that a successful life is one in which you are able to constantly turn thoughts into successful actions. All of us have many thoughts, and many of us, unfortunately, let them slip away before taking any action on them.

"12 things for a PM to do in your first 30 days"
Stumbled upon this from my (PM) onboarding at Google. I feel most are still relevant today after years as a PM.

1. Set clear expectations with your manager
2. Schedule 1:1 with everyone in your team (and those around it)
3. Ask everyone this question: "What can I do to make your life easier?"
4. Fine ONE (even small) thing that you can take off their shoulders
5. Schedule time your TL (tech lead) to walk through your product
6. Resist the urge to jump in and start changing things aka "Try not to be useful right away"
7. Get in front of your users
8. Fix something (use fix liberally)
9. Read everything, and write it if it isn't written down
10. Set some personal goals (personal OKRs)
11. Configure life support (permissions/access, software, email filters)
12. Check your teammate OKRs

Which one resonates with you the most? I got the most bang for the buck from number (4). I was plussed into an email about some data cleanup issue and offered to take it for my manager. Gave me an excuse to talk to folks across my team, learn the technical details of our infra and get a small but mighty launch in within a quarter

1. If you want to make time for what matters, you have to know what matters.
2. People who spend time planning tend to have a better sense of control over their lives.
3. We tend to think of time as a scarce resource, but it is actually a limitless one. We all have the same amount of time in a day, but how we use that time is what makes the difference.
4. Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present at the moment, to be aware of what is going on both inside and outside of yourself.

1. Sometimes, the only way to survive is to surrender to dying.

🥀Being indifferent to death allowed people to survive. In order to survive, you had to be okay with dying any moment.

2. Your life has its own meaning and it’s up to you to find it in any given moment.

❓ how you act, and how much responsibility you bring to the decisions you make determines how big your sense of meaning in life is.

3. Try to force your fears to come true to make them go away.

✍️Another thing logotherapy does is enable people by focusing on their internal state of mind, instead of external factors, thus giving them a sense of control over their own life.

4.CHANGE YOUR DAILY APPROACH TO LIFE

Top 10 Lessons from learned from the book-- How To Finish Everything You Start

1) Another reason for failing to finish is that you are so unprepared for interruptions that when one or more occur, you get thrown by it.

2) By far the #1 reason for leaving a task or project unfinished is having too much to do.

3) If you have a fear of failure, you will delay finishing a project, so you do not have to deal with the potential negative feedback that you fear. If you fear success, procrastination delays that scenario from happening.

4) If you end whatever you are trying to finish at a good point, it will be that much easier to pick right up again when you can get back to it.

5) Make whatever you are procrastinating about the very first activity that you tackle first thing in the morning, or when you first get to the office.

6)F = Focus on one priority task.

I= Ignore interruptions or distractions.

N = Now is the time, not later or tomorrow.

I= Initiate and innovate so you keep going.

My REALIZATIONS about GETTING STARTED.

1) You only need ONE thing to get started. One smile can start a friendship. One hand can lift a soul. One candle can wipe out darkness. One word, one child, one teacher, one pen and one book can change the world. Be that ONE.

2) You don’t have to be smarter than the rest. You just need to be more disciplined than the rest and get started.

3) Conquer yourself. Your success or failure in life or at work isn’t about other people. It’s your procrastination and excuses. Success happens when you grow yourself, not outgrow others. Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners.

4) Nothing changes if nothing changes. When you change how you see things, both you and the things you see change. You see the world what you carry in your heart.

5) Every teacher once was a student. Every winner once was a loser. Every expert once was a beginner. Small steps taken every day leads you to your success.

6) Perseverance is the multiplier of Talent and Potential. Success is not about who has more talent, but who is hungrier. A river cuts through a rock not because of its power, but its persistence. You can do anything you set your mind to, but it takes action, persistence, and the courage to face your fears.
