Ever wondered what it takes to age your own artisan British blue cheese at home? 🧀

Follow along as Morgan Cheeses shows you what happens as she matures her own Blacksticks Blue whole wheel from 3 days to 12 weeks.

With our Mature Your Own Blacksticks Blue kit, you become the cheesemaker. Simply pop your baby wheel somewhere cold in your house and - the hardest part - LEAVE IT WELL ALONE. Over time, watch the rich orange colour develop those iconic, creamy blue veins, and learn how the flavour profile changes as the cheese ages.

Our Parlick Sheep’s Cheese is named after the Parlick Fell, just 5 miles away from our family farmhouse dairy in Lancashire📍. Parlick is the perfect ewe’s milk alternative to cow’s milk cheeses and is great for your gut, Gill explains why.

Today, Bill talks us through why our Lancashire cheeses don’t go mouldy when clothbound bound and why we do it in the first place. 🧀

This time-honoured tradition has been part of our story since 1932 🕰️. Today, we continue to clothbind some of our heritage cheeses including Trotter Hill Tasty Lancashire (seen here), Rothbury Red Leicester and Goosnargh Gold Double Gloucester.

This morning we held our annual Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning, Butlers Bake Off style🧁.

The competition was fierce, as always, and last year’s winner, Beata, had the tough job of judging this year’s entries. 🏆 Huge well done to our winners, and thank you to everyone who got involved. Together, we raised over £250 for a cause close to our hearts. 💚

There’s been a lot of hype around clothbound cheese lately… and we can see why 🧀

Our Authentic British Clothbound Tasting Bundle is a chance to taste the difference for yourself, with heritage Lancashire cheeses that have been carefully wrapped in muslin and left to mature naturally.

The cloth allows the cheese to breathe as it matures, helping develop that open, crumbly texture and the rich, complex flavour that makes traditional farmhouse cheese so special.

But don’t just take our word for it…

🧀 Shop our Clothbound Tasting Bundle via the link in our bio.
