A few facts about Mr Ragamuffins!.
We will be doing more for a get to know us!!.
We, like you, love food!
1. We don’t pay to advertise, that’s right no Facebook, Insta or any other SM boosts, we work with just posting what we are up to and what you can get from us via Meta Business Suite, we prefer to grow organically and through word of mouth or you stumble across us, we love to hear stories where a new customer popped in for their first buy because the were sat next to someone in the pub with a big bunch of carrots!.
2. We are really a family run business employing local people or students and everyone is a paid employee.
3. We buy food we would like to eat and try to buy in this order, local independent, local chain, Southwest, UK, Europe, rest of the world, we would love to buy all locally, but you can’t yet get a lot of what people eat commercially grown in Cornwall, that said, I have been blown away by what small growers can do, they are a talented and dedicated bunch!.
4. We are always open to new ideas to encourage local small business especially a great product that needs some high street shelf space.
5. We are starting to grow veggies and fruit ourselves, that’s right, early stages but in late 2026 and into 2027 you will see a few of our own product start to arrive in shop, bear with us, we will of course let everyone know once we start and the products we have available.
