🍅 Let’s talk tomatoes! 🍅

Sweet, juicy and packed with goodness, cherry vine tomatoes are a fantastic addition to your weekly veg box!

❤️ Why are tomatoes good for you?
Tomatoes are rich in vitamin C to support your immune system as well as containing potassium to support normal muscle function.

🥗 What can you do with them?

• 🍅 Roast them with garlic and olive oil for a delicious side dish.

• 🍝 Toss them through pasta with fresh basil and a little parmesan.

• 🥪 Add them to salads, sandwiches or wraps for a burst of sweetness.

• 🧀 Roast them with feta for an easy, flavour-packed meal.

• 🍳 Add them to omelettes or a weekend breakfast.

💡 Top tip: Roasting cherry vine tomatoes brings out their natural sweetness and creates a deliciously rich flavour!

TURNS YOUR P*E PINK
This week we had red, golden and candy beetroot in the veg boxes.

Red/Purple beetroot — earthy, sweet and brilliantly versatile. Roast it, soup it, pickle it, grate it raw into salads or throw some puff pastry on it and make a beetroot tart.

Golden beetroot — a little milder and sweeter. Delicious roasted with herbs or added to salads.

Candy or Chioggia beetroot — naturally striped with beautiful pink and white rings. Sweeter, milder and less earthy than standard purple beets

And yes, Beetroot is a great source of fibre and naturally occurring nitrates and makes you p*e pink which is perfectly harmless. A wee reminder that you ate well!
