What a wonderful way to buy your cheese, whilst on a saunter along the locks and canals.

This is one for all you mascarpone lovers…. We have 10, 200g tubs of creamy deliciousness, looking for a new home.
Mascarpone can be used for so many things including, sauces, cooking or just a generous dollop on scones.
Please get in touch if you would like to try some.
We also have ice cream tubs available.

Good morning, on this wet, soggy Saturday,I’m posting a video of our bottle fed lambs to cheer you all up.
Not only do we make the delicious Barncliffe Brie, we are also local farmers.

We’ve done it again….well almost, we have sold out, apart from 2 Brie’s.
We have had a wonderful day at The Carding Shed, meeting old and new customers. As well as purchasing products from other stall holders.
Thank you to everyone of you who has bought from us, it all helps us to be the best that we can be.
Now for a well deserved glass of bubbles. ☺️

It’s Makers Market Day at The Carding Shed in Holmfirth.
Come and support our local businesses and maybe grab a cup of tea with a slice of their delicious cakes.

For sale: a successful small business based in Shelley, near Huddersfield, making award-winning soft cheeses from local cows’ milk. Barncliffe Brie and Barncliffe Blue both have Great Taste Award stars, and along with Barncliffe Truffled and Mascarpone, have this summer gained recognition at both the Artisan Cheese Awards, and the Virtual Cheese Awards. The cheeses have a loyal customer base in and around Yorkshire, and are increasingly in demand from further afield.

Experience in cheese-making is not absolutely necessary. I had no knowledge of the industry when I started, and if needed I will work alongside you initially to teach you how to make these fabulous cheeses.
