A big well done to our colleagues who have raised £5,535 for Tickled Pink by hosting a fundraising hoedown.
The event, which saw 140 guests come together for music, dancing and lots of laughs, marks 30 years of the Asda breast cancer charity campaign. Working with charity partners Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel!, Tickled Pink supports breast cancer awareness to make checking your b***s, pecs or chests as easy as an Asda shop.
Ann, Asda Coatbridge's community champion, said: “We had an absolute ball, and raising so much for Tickled Pink is the icing on the cake. It’s a cause that’s close to lots of our hearts, and having some fun while doing what we can to show our support is what it’s all about. A huge thanks too to the team at the General Motors Club in Holytown who went above and beyond for the event."
Ann, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, also arranged a talk about the importance of post-mastectomy bras from Lynne, founder of ‘Your Perfect Fit’. Ann said: “Lynne helped me out a lot through my own experience, and her words resonated really strongly with everyone who came along to the hoedown.“
