Six months in… and what a journey it’s been! 🥩❤️

Looking back at these first photos, it’s crazy to think just how far we’ve come in such a short space of time!

We knew taking on the butchery would be a challenge, but we never imagined quite how much hard work, determination and learning would go into it. There have certainly been some testing moments along the way! 😂

But one thing we absolutely love is the relationships we’ve built with our customers. From familiar faces popping in each week to new customers discovering us, your support, encouragement and loyalty mean more than you’ll ever know.

We’re still learning, still growing and still full of ideas for the future!

Here’s to the next six months… who knows what the shop will look like then! 🥂

And back to business as usual…

👨‍🍳 Miles’s Mini Butchery is fully stocked and ready to go, so don’t forget to pop over to his little corner of the counter!

The new aprons at the ready and Miles has been busy helping prepare for the opening of his Mini Butchers today at 12pm.

He’s not too keen on going to school today, he really wants to be in the shop!

If you can purchase anything from him over the next few weeks we would be really grateful and it all goes towards a great cause helping Friends of Thorneyholme at Thorneyholme RC Primary School

🚨A LITTLE MAINTENANCE WORK🚨

We are having new cattle grids fitted on the track at the farm, this won’t affect any access getting to the butchery, just a little detour through the gates at the sides of the cattle grids.

Here’s a photo of a sunnier, less rainy day! Who’s missing summer already 🙆‍♀️!

We are open tomorrow 12-6pm and Miles’s mini butchery will be open to purchase anything from him to go towards his £5 challenge for school. His specials for this week are pork and treacle sausages!

🥩 INTRODUCING MILES’S MINI BUTCHERS! 🥩

Little Butcher. Big Ambitions! ❤️

There’s a new butcher in town… and he’s only 5 years old! 😂

Miles is taking part in the £5 Challenge to raise money for Friends of Thorneyholme School. He’s decided to follow in his family’s footsteps and open his very own mini butchery!

With a little help from Mummy and Daddy, Miles will have his very own dedicated section of the counter at The Barn at Burholme Butchery, selling everything from whole chickens and roasting joints to burgers, sausages and more!

📣 THE GRAND OPENING!

🗓️ Thursday 22nd October at 12pm

Miles’s Mini Butchers will be open for business until Friday 20th November, giving him a few weeks to see just how much he can grow his original £5!

And the best bit? 🥰

When he’s not busy at school, Miles will be in the shop, proudly helping to sell his own products!

He’ll be learning all about running a business, serving customers, handling money and hopefully watching his little venture grow!

Of course, Daddy will still be doing all the actual butchery work… we’re not quite ready to hand over the knives just yet! 😂

❤️ All profits from Miles’s Mini Butchers will go towards his Thorneyholme RC Primary School challenge.

We’re incredibly proud of him for having a go, and we’d absolutely love our wonderful customers to get behind our youngest entrepreneur.

Whether you’re popping in for your Sunday roast, a pack of sausages or your usual weekly shop, why not buy something from Miles’s counter and help him on his way?

Who knows… in a few years he might be giving Daddy his orders! 🤣

We’re very excited to be preparing for our very first Christmas at the butchery!

Our Christmas order forms are now ready, and we’ve got a wonderful selection of locally sourced, quality meats to help make your Christmas dinner that extra bit special.

🦃 Traditional Christmas turkeys
🎄 Everything you need for a delicious Christmas feast

Our order forms are either available to collect from the shop or message us and we will send you a PDF copy to download. Have a browse and get those Christmas orders organised nice and early.

📅 Orders must be returned by 10th December with a £20 deposit.
