🍓The length of time between planting and being able to harvest strawberries is around 60 days🍓

So today the team put in more baby plants, which will produce fruit at the end of July.

We plant in stages like this, to ensure that whenever you decide to visit us throughout the next few months, there should be strawberries at their best ready to pick. 😊

Our PYO will be closed tomorrow to let some more fruit ripen... But the crops are looking great for the coming weeks.
The shop cafe and playground will be open as usual - we still have strawberries available in the shop.

Next bank holiday Monday is the annual Cheese Rolling at Coopers Hill!

We are just down the road from this famously dangerous event, where brave (or crazy?!) people hurl themselves down the hill, chasing wheels of cheese.

But did you know that it is always the same type of cheese which is used? It is a delicious local variety – the ‘Double Gloucester' from Smarts Traditional Gloucester Cheese and we stock it!

So if you are coming to witness (or take part in!) the event, pop into see us to try the cheese and maybe take some home as a souvenir!
