Join Welsh Cheese Company founder Tom Pinder for an evening exploring some of the finest cheeses being made in Wales, thoughtfully paired with a selection of wines chosen to bring out the best in each tasting.

Enjoy a guided tasting of twelve Welsh cheeses, discover the stories behind the producers, and learn more about the craft that goes into every cheese. The evening continues with a generous bottomless cheeseboard, Welsh deli treats and our much-loved cheesy quiz.

Perfect for a date night, a catch up with friends, or even a solo treat if you'd like to meet fellow cheese lovers.

Cheese of the Week Caws Preseli 🧀

This soft, mould ripened beauty from Pant Mawr is rich, glossy and full of character, with a gently tangy, fruity flavour and its distinctive straw coloured centre.

Made by David, Cynthia and Jason Jennings on their traditional Welsh hill farm in Rosebush, Pembrokeshire, Caws Preseli is named after the Preseli Mountains overlooking the farm itself.

A British Cheese Awards winner for good reason. We especially love it with a good chutney or a courgette and pepper relish.

Wine Pairings for Welsh Cheese 🧀🍷

Pairing wine with cheese is all about balance, matching intensity, acidity, and texture.

For Hafod, an earthy and complex Cheddar, we’ve paired a Pinot Noir from White Castle Vineyard in Wales, something that echoes its savoury depth without overpowering it.

Saval, a pungent washed rind from West Wales, calls for contrast. A crisp, aromatic Riesling like Dr. Loosen lifts and balances its richness.

And Teifi Mature, an aged Gouda with nutty, almost Comté-like notes, works beautifully with a lightly oaked Chardonnay, where buttery texture meets bright acidity.

Here’s a quick, simple formula for picking cheeses:

Start with a bold Cheddar.
Add something soft.
Pick a punchy blue.
Choose something a bit more unusual.
Then finish with something spicy for Father’s Day.

Cheese of the Week Brightwell Ash 🧀

A fresh goat’s cheese with a bright, tangy flavour.

It has a wrinkly, ashed rind and a beautifully light, silky texture inside.

Made by Fraser Norton and Rachel Yarrow at their goat dairy in Llangadog, Carmarthenshire, one of only a handful of farms in the UK using a pasture based, environmentally sustainable grazing system for their goats.

A delicate, fresh cheese with plenty of character.

🩷 Llanerch Vineyards Rhosyn is a fruity rosé from the Vale of Glamorgan, with notes of fresh flowers and tangerine.
