🎃 A Halloween treat for cheese lovers 🧀

We've paired eight of our favourite Welsh cheeses with Halloween sweets, from Hafod Cheddar with caramel popcorn to Perl Wen with dark chocolate truffles and Mature Teifi with fudge fangs!

Our special Halloween sharing boards will be available at our Cardiff Deli for three days only, Friday 30 October - Sunday 1 November. The eight cheese, two person sharing boards also come with chutneys, crackers and fruit, and are priced at £39.

Cheese of the week: Harlech 🧀

A strong and creamy Cheddar blended with horseradish and parsley, Harlech has savoury herbal notes and a lovely peppery finish.

Its name is a nod to the Welsh song and military march Men of Harlech, inspired by the historic siege of Harlech Castle.

Try crumbling it into mashed potato for a bit of a kick, or melting it over a leek gratin.

Made by Brad Cunningham in Bethesda, North Wales, Yr Afr is a smooth and creamy unpasteurised goat’s milk cheese with savoury notes and a beautiful white-grey rind.

Inspired by Crottin de Chavignol from the Loire Valley, its name translates simply as “The Goat.”

We’ve just released a load of new dates for early next year, including more of our cheese-filled evenings at the deli.

Do you like your cheese gooey? 🧀

Wales makes some seriously good soft cheese.

From rich, buttery bries to creamy goat’s milk cheeses and blues that practically melt on the board, there’s plenty to get stuck into.

Abaty Brie - soft, buttery and beautifully gooey.
Brightwell Ash - a creamy goat’s milk cheese with a delicate ash rind.
Trefaldwyn Blue - rich, creamy and full of character.

The only difficult bit is choosing which one to take home.

It’s been a whole year since we opened our Victoria Park shop - our Cardiff deli, cheese and w**e bar. 🧀🍷
