We are now taking pre-orders for Christmas vegetable boxes πŸŽ„Our boxes are not set so you can tailor them to whatever suits you - just let us know what you'd like for your Christmas dinners, how many people you will be serving and we can have a veg box ready for the 22nd or 23rd of December 😁

An example box from last year serving a family of 6:

6 x large carrots
6 x large parsnips
2kg x potatoes
1 x turnip
Brussel spouts (portion for 4 adults)
1 x Red cabbage
1 x cauliflower
4 x Bramley apples
2 x rhubarb sticks
1kg x sweet potato
1 x red onion
4 x large white onions
2 x leeks
some celery
fresh rosemary
fresh thyme

‼️ IMPORTANT NOTICE ‼️
As many of you know, Dawn and Brodie will soon be heading off on their amazing 3-week trip to Kenya. Due to this, the shop will be on limited days and hours from the 23rd of September until the 15th of October. Please read the information in this post carefully and take note of the shop opening hours below.

SHOP OPENING HOURS 23th September - 15th October

10am - 4pm on the following dates:
Monday 25th September
Wednesday 27th September
Friday 29th September
Monday 9th October
Wednesday 11th October

ANIMAL FEED ORDERS & DELIVERY
Any feeding orders/deliveries must be placed before Tuesday 12th of September. We will have a large amount of stock on pre-order but we will not be able to order any more stock until Brodie and Dawn return. We will be sure to ask regular customers for their orders in advance, but please consider ordering more than your usual as this may suit best for customers to avoid any disappointment.

FIREWOOD ORDERS & DELIVERY
Any firewood orders/deliveries must be placed before Wednesday 20th of September. Wee David will be working as normal cutting, drying and delivering any firewood orders but no additional orders or deliveries will be taken between the 23rd of September to the 15th of October.

CHIMNEY SWEEPING, STOVE INSTALLATIONS & SURVEYS
Currently, our diary for sweeping, installations and surveys for September and October is fully booked so we will not be accepting any additional bookings. Davie will be working as normal, completing any bookings between the 23rd of September and the 15th of October.

We appreciate that circumstances do change but if any cancellations occur between the 23rd of September and the 15th of October we will be unable to reschedule any appointments with Davie, until Dawn and Brodie return.

DOG GROOMING
Grooming will be on limited hours between the 23rd of September and the 15th of October. We have some availability left in the diary but please get your pooches booked in ASAP to avoid disappointment. Joanne will be dog grooming on the dates below,

Monday 25th September
Wednesday 27th September
Monday 9th October
Wednesday 11th October

Lastly, whilst on their holiday Dawn and Brodie will be un able to answer any emails, phone calls, texts or Facebook messages. You can contact Krys at the shop via the shop phone on 01877 330643 and she will be able to help with any enquiries.

What is one change that you can make this week to be more environmentally conscious? 🌏 It can be something small - walking to the shops instead of driving just one time this week, doing just one plastic-free refill at our store instead of buying a new packet or bottle 🌞OR it can be a bigger change - aiming to do all your shopping locally this week, why not try to buy second-hand instead of buying new (Facebook marketplace is AMAZING!)

It can be really overwhelming to think about the negative effects that we are having on the environment and even more so to think about making changes to you lifestyle but if we all work to make small, gradual changes to be more environmentally friendly and sustainable then we can together make BIG changes πŸ’š Comment below any positive changes you are going try out this week!
