The display is absolutely loaded this morning 🐟🦞

Fresh day boat fish, live shellfish, hand cut fillets, dressed crab, smoked bits, homemade fishcakes, scallops, squid, lobsters, cockles, prawns… the lot.

This is exactly what we dreamed the new shop would look like 💙

One thing we always promise…
We won’t just pile fish in trays and shove it out the door. Freshness comes first. Proper prep, proper advice and fish handled the right way.

From whole wild bass and turbot to ready to cook fishcakes and shellfish platters, there’s something for everyone today.

No need to pre-order — just pop down, grab one for lunch and either sit outside in our little seating area or take one home with you 🐟☀️

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY — WE ARE OPEN! 🐟☀️

Open from 8am today with the display packed back out and full of fresh fish after a mad weekend!

As always everything is prepped fresh how YOU want it — filleted, skinned, b***d, portioned or left whole.

Fresh fish takes time, but we’d rather do it properly than rush it.

So once again… thank you! 🐟❤️

Absolutely cleaned up this weekend.Fish kababs gone quicker than we could make them, the turbot special flew out, queues out the door all day.

Just wanted to give a quick update…

Yes, it’s a new shop, and yes, there’s more space — but we still pride ourselves on freshness and the very best quality above everything else.

Fish isn’t like cutting a bit of steak or slicing a block of cheese.You’re choosing your whole Dover sole, wild seabass or even your cooked prawns fresh from the display.

Then we prep it exactly how YOU want it.Scaling, gutting, skinning, filleting, portioning… all done fresh to order. That takes time.

We are huge believers in “look at the eyes”.Bright, clear eyes. Deep red gills. Firm belly. Proper fresh fish.

But with that comes care — we can’t just throw it in a bag and send it out.

So yes… we might be a little slower than some shops, but that’s because freshness and quality will always come first with us.

And just to confirm — we are NOT sold out, we’ve just had a really crazy weekend! 😅🐟

Open tomorrow from 8am with the display packed back out and ready to go again.

🔥 NEW FOR THE BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND 🔥

Right… we’ve stepped slightly out our comfort zone and had a go at something different 👀🐟

Freshly made seafood skewers ready for the BBQ, oven or grill!

🦐 Scallops & prawns with red pepper
🍣 Salmon & prawn with teriyaki sauce
🐟 Monkfish & scallops with red onion and sweet chilli sauce

Made fresh by us and honestly… we are pretty excited about them 😅

This is our FIRST weekend doing these, so please bear with us while we learn and improve along the way. We’re fishmongers first, not Michelin chefs 😂 but we wanted to bring something fun, fresh and easy for the sunny weekends ahead ☀️

The feedback so far has been brilliant and we already have loads more ideas coming!
