Did you know there’s different grades of matcha. We sell 3 types. This one is the highest ceremonial grade and has extraordinary physical health benefits as well as the wellbeing you get just from the delicious flavour and act of participating in the ceremony of drinking this most luxurious drink, Must be expensive right? Around 50p per serving! That’s a tenth of the price of a pint of beer in the pub, a fifth of the price of a standard cup of tea in a cafe, half the price of a plastic bottle of water. So is it worth it?

So good to get our prep kitchen up and running. Getting the Thermomix blender out again feels great and the creativity can flow again. This is a fermented wild garlic and butter bean dip. As ever we have only used the finest ingredients, not just olive oil, but our prized early harvest extra virgin organic olive oil! Most dips you buy are some sort of seed oil which means it will cost you a little less, there’s plenty of options to buy those. We are blessed to work with some incredible partners, people and businesses we are proud to support. we have been providing a Cafe at their events for about a year now.
Later in the year we will be back at the wonderful with our shop and juice bar. And of course our long term staple suppling the traders and providing a rather nice festival shop for all the wonderful Shambala crowd. Then add in to the mix our produce supply to incredible restaurants around Bristol and beyond, such as and most recently. News from Matter. We have a new prep kitchen. So we are back on with our processing, already fermenting a large amount of wild garlic, which is just one of many products we will be producing.
We have two new products to introduce and we are running a -COMPETITION- to win a free bottle of our amazing early harvest olive oil, and one more winner will win a large bottle of our brand new lemon flavour water kefir. So easy to enter too, just follow our page, like this post, and tag people that might enjoy this type of produce to be entered, sometime very few people do this so you could have ridiculously good odds of winning! 🏆 In final news you might see some changes around the shop, already starting with the refill areas as we have our refurbishing hats on! As always it looks like an exciting future for Matter and all who sail with her.

We are always over the moon when we get a new wholesale customer, mainly because we are so passionate and we know anyone ordering from Matter Wholefoods likely has impeccable sourcing. In this world, the vast majority of businesses feel they are pressed to put profit before quality of ingredients, which works fine as the vast majority of customers are not really thinking about it. But more restaurants are choosing to care about the provenance of their food, which is why we came into existence in the first place, to help grow this industry to nourish the community and the planet. So big ups to the hero’s like who do put wholesome and sustainable at the top of their list.

🚨 HUGE NEWS from Matter Wholefoods
We are absolutely over the moon (and still pinching ourselves!) to announce that Matter has won a prestigious national award for Outstanding Services to Communities and the Environment through our beloved Vegbox service and Wholefood shop!
Yesterday, His Majesty The King sent a personal representative to our Bristol shop to congratulate us in person. The award comes with significant funding to help us expand — opening new branches in towns and cities across the country, each paired with its own local farm to grow fresh, organic produce right where it’s needed most.
This is a dream come true for our mission: making good, honest food accessible to everyone, building stronger communities, and caring for the planet through regenerative farming and sustainable practices.
