Easter Weekend Alert 🚨 🐣

As the long weekend is fast approaching we thought we should make sure you’re all aware of our holiday opening times. Nothing much is changing we are open all weekend as normal across both sites. A reminder of those times are in the post above.

BUT, to celebrate the start of the long weekend we are doing a deal for our Friday evening nibbles night. Every large grazing plate comes with a free glass of wine or prosecco. So why not kick off the Easter holidays with some delicious deli cheeses and meats and you can have a glass of wine or bubbly on us?! It’s a no brainer ✨✨✨🫶

✨EXCITING NEWS✨

You may have noticed our beloved deli is currently closed and being refurbished!

The official grand reopening will be Saturday 28th March at 9am! 🎉🎉🎉

The whole shop has been redesigned to hopefully allow us to make more and sell more.

I know people are missing their cheese, olives, scotch eggs, sausage rolls and more but just a couple more weeks and we’ll be back better than ever.

Please come down and check out our grand reopening on 28th March there may even be some free goodie giveaways. 🍪🍪🍪

In the meantime, we are doing our best to keep the cafe stocked with as many of the deli favourites as we can. loaves are still available from the cafe on Saturdays too. 🥖

✨We are now open every Friday evening (including tomorrow 16th January) 4pm-9pm for alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and hot drinks as well as our nibbles menu.

✨Exciting News Announcement✨

Hello from a cold an recently snowy Brightlingsea; we have some updates!

🥂The cafe and deli are now both back open as normal after the festive period.

🧑‍🍳We have finished redesigning and making changes to our menus which will launch this week so keep your eyes peeled!

🍻For anyone who missed the news we are fully licensed at the cafe all day long so please don’t hesitate to pop in for a cheeky beer or glass of wine.

✨Our Friday nights nibbles and drinks will restart on Friday 16th January and run every week to get used to us being open of a Friday evening!

There will also be some changes coming to the deli in 2026 so watch this space for more exciting announcements!

With just ONE WEEK to go until Brightlingsea’s late night shopping, it’s time to let you know that both the deli and cafe will be OPEN into the evening to celebrate the festivities!🎄✨
Here’s a look at the special late night shopping menu for the cafe.
The opening hours for both the cafe and deli on Friday the 5th of December are as follows.
✨Deli: 9am-8pm
✨Cafe: 8.30am-8pm

Also, another special announcement that some of you may have already heard about👀
Following the approval of our alcohol licence, from the 12th of December, the cafe will be open LATE ON FRIDAYS!🎉
We’ll be serving a special evening nibbles menu to go alongside a selection of brand new alcohols. Both of these menus will be posted in the next couple of days, so please keep an eye on our socials.

Join us in the cafe for an afternoon of Christmas fun and festive foods, featuring some of your deli favourites!

Prices range from £15-£30pp and each tier includes the following.

✨£15
Our standard RCFC afternoon tea of finger sandwiches, cake of the day, fruit scone with clotted cream and jam and a brownie bite.

✨£25
The same as our £15 package with the addition of unlimited hot drinks, Italian Christmas cake, a festive spiced cookie, and mini sausage roll.

✨£30
The same as the £25 option with the addition of a glass of 🥂Prosecco🥂

It’s that time of year again!! Well, nearly🎄👀

We’re doing Christmas pre-orders a bit differently this year. Instead of the set cheese hampers we offered last Christmas, this year you’ll be able to order a selection of cheeses and accompaniments to suit you.
Or you can give us as budget, and we’ll pick for you!

As well as cheeses and pantry fillers, you’ll also be able to order all the River Colne Food Co staples, such as sausage rolls, cinnamon knots and mince pies etc.

For those of you who remember the Italian Christmas cake we sold by the slice last year, well, it’s coming back!
But this time, you can buy not just one slice…not just two…but the ENTIRE CAKE!! Yep! You heard us!
A whole cake ready for Christmas Day dessert can’t be that bad, eh?😋

Our festive opening times for both the cafe and deli will be announced soon, so watch this space!
