Would you be interested in an evening farm tour for adults?

We’re looking at the idea of running an adult evening farm tour, around 6pm–8pm, here at Little Clayhill Farm.

It would include a relaxed tour around the farm, a chance to meet and greet the animals, learn a bit about what we do here, and then finish off with a lovely cream tea.

This would be aimed more at adults who would enjoy a quieter, slower-paced visit to the farm in the evening.

Before we make any plans, we’d love to know if this is something people would be interested in.

A little after-school treat at the farm 🌾☕

Looking for somewhere simple to take the children after school?

Pop into the farm shop, let the children enjoy the play area, and treat yourself to a tea or coffee while they burn off some energy.

We’ve also got milkshakes, cakes, cream teas and plenty of farm shop goodies available to eat in or take away.

A nice little outing without having to plan a full day out.

Den building on the farm 🌿

Our Alternative Provision students have been getting creative this week, building dens using only the natural materials and items they could find around the farm.

This activity gave them the chance to problem-solve, plan, and think practically about what would work — while also developing important teamwork skills such as listening to each other, sharing ideas, taking turns, and helping one another.

It was also lovely to see students working independently at different points, making their own decisions, testing their ideas, and taking pride in what they had created.

Farm-based learning gives students space to build confidence, resilience, communication skills, and independence — sometimes without even realising they are doing it.

Well done everyone, the dens looked fantastic!

The farm shop is open, milkshakes are available, and there are animals to see!

Pop in after school for a little treat, have a look around the farm, and see who you can spot. It’s a lovely way to break up the afternoon and keep the children entertained for a while.

Milkshakes available to drink here or take away.
