Fresh bacon & gammon!

Our own rare breed pork has come back from the butcher and we now have gammon, bacon and gammon steaks available. The pigs were raised outdoors here at Real Food Garden, rooting around in the fields and growing slowly in the way rare breeds should. The result is proper pork with real flavour and beautiful marbling.

Alongside that, the first of our purple sprouting broccoli is coming in from the garden. It is one of the real treats of the early season and it pairs perfectly with good bacon in a pan.

Add in our leafy greens and salad plus organic fruit and veg deliveries, fresh bread, local eggs, store cupboard staples and plenty of other good things, and the shop is well stocked for the weekend.

If you are planning meals for the week ahead or just fancy something fresh and seasonal, it is a good time to pop by.

The farm shop shelves are packed with goodness this week as the season begins to shift.

From the garden we have fresh picked kale, spinach, salad leaves, purple sprouting broccoli and kalettes. All grown here at The Real Food Garden, harvested by hand and on the shelves the same day.

Alongside our own produce we have a lovely selection of organic fruit and veg from other growers, including colourful seasonal vegetables, citrus and apples to keep the kitchen well stocked through the week.

We also have fresh bread from Vicky, including her much loved hot cross buns just in time for Easter. If you have had them before you will know they do not stay on the shelf for long!

Last but not least in our Easter editions this year....our creme/caramel brownie scotch eggs. Don't they look absolutely delicious??? These are available to order and will be with us at Bodmin Farmers' Market and Teeny Tiny Teignmouth Company this month as well as being available for postals and pick ups!
