Congratulations to Natural Bread for winning 4 British Baker awards in the recent 'Britain's Best Loaf' competition!

The independent, family-run, Oxford-based artisan bakery won a Gold Award for its Brainy Tin Sourdough, a Silver Award for its new German Rye, and Bronze for its Three Seed Sourdough and well as its Oxford Sourdough, which is delivered fresh to our little shop three times a week and is incredibly popular with our customers.

Well done to the Natural Bread team! We're proud to stock the hand-crafted bread and delicious pastries too!

Pop into the shop to buy an Oxford Sourdough, Pain au Raisin, Chelsea Bun, Cinnamon Swirl or an Apricot Danish, or to place your pre-order for any other Natural Bread products.

We're hoping the sun will come back very soon! When it does, be prepared for drinks in the garden. One of my favourite summer drinks is the Aperol Spritz - the classic bittersweet, bubbly Italian cocktail. It's so easy to make - just remember the 3-2-1 rule.

You need:
75ml Prosecco
50ml Aperol
25ml Soda water
And a slice of orange.

Fill a glass with ice, pour in the Prosecco, the Aperol and the Soda, garnish with the orange, sit back and enjoy - easy!

So proud to have these for sale 🥰

Written by a local author, this beautiful book tells the story of a little fox who discovers that he can be super, just by being him. The book celebrates differences, kindness and the power of being yourself and is perfect for social, emotional learning and building self-esteem in children.

100% of the net proceeds from sale of Foxman is being donated to UK children's hospitals. The book has received support from King Charles III and Gyles Brandreth for its work with Great Ormond Street Hospital, and its current focus is raising funds for Oxford Children's Hospital. So, every book we sell increases the sum that will be donated to the hospital, which provides a wide range of specialty services for children from throughout the Thames Valley and beyond.

You'll see this on the window of our little Post Office today and for the next few days. Our battle is over - we won our appeal to keep offering Evri services... for now!

Yes, when it was Hermes the service earned itself a bad reputation but Evri handles around a billion parcels a year and has nearly 5.5 million reviews on Trustpilot resulting in an average of 4.1 stars. Our own experience with them for the last 14 months is in fact pretty good.

To avoid our offering the service being under threat again in the future, we need your help. We have targets to meet so we need you to use the service - not just for your pre-paid parcels, but for parcel postage purchased in-branch too.

We obviously can't guarantee a perfect delivery service as we're just an agent, all we can do is share our own experience. Of course, we will always offer a Royal Mail option too!

We want to say a massive thank you to those who called and emailed Evri in our support. Thank you all.
