And here she is...the most hoped for calf to ever arrive on the farm..♥️
I have to be honest if we ran any kind of commercial set up neither of them would be here...
Mum Viv was an orphan calf born in summer 2021, we lost her mother to a calving of many complications. She didn't have a great start succumbed to pneumonia then joint ill...everyone told us we should let her go. But we persisted with meds and bottle feeding and then one of the older cows let her feed with her calf and she finally turned a corner and started to grow and thrive.
However luck hasn't been on her side, her first calf was born in the middle of a thunderstorm two years ago and didn't make it, her second calf premature following blue tongue. Very few farmers give cows a second chance and almost none a third...but here she is at the ripe old age of 5 finally raising her own calf, a beautiful little heifer.....named by as Destiny...I think she may be nicknamed as Tiny...with a bit of irony as she certainly isnt!🤣
Welcome to Carr Farm and the Waveney herd young Tiny 😍
