Kokoleaf was founded in October 2011 by chocolatier Katie Wight and was inspired by her Mother’s passion for all things chocolate. Specialising in chocolate tasting evenings, bespoke wedding favours and exquisite pillow gifts, Katie was driven to continue the family tradition of producing artisan chocolates from local, fresh ingredients. hoot of the well established family business (The Chocolate Shop in Banchory, Aberdeenshire) Kokoleaf aims to turn over a new leaf in the way chocolate is eaten and viewed. Katie has a creative flair and after years of trying out different avenues she discovered that chocolate was her real passion. On top of learning the craft from her mother Katie took part in the Ecole Chocolat’s Professional Chocolatier Program in Vancouver, where she completed her Maitre Chocolatier (Master Chocolatier) certification. At Kokoleaf, our inspiration comes from the world around us and from our memories and experiences. This allows us to create truly unique and high quality handmade chocolates, without exception. Chocolate is medicine for the soul and we would like to teach you all by offering indulgent and exciting experiences. In pursuit of educating people about real chocolate, we spare no expense in search of the finest ingredients. Every chocolate is made by hand without preservatives and new flavours and combinations are researched and experimented. Our ganaches are infused with local ingredients and are made from award winning chocolates. We use no artificial flavors and preservatives. We use classic techniques to craft each chocolate by hand to create a perfect balance of flavor, texture and beauty.
