An easy no-fuss chicken dish, which is a good recipe on a busy day.

Splash in some 𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗠𝗘 𝗨𝗣 sauce
to rev up the flavour!

𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

1] 12 skin-on, bone-in chicken thighs or drumsticks
2] Salt (to taste)
3] Pepper (to taste)
4] 2 Tbsp cooking oil

𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐁𝐐 𝐬𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐞
1] 1/2 cup ketchup
2] 1/4 cup PICK ME UP sauce
3] 1/4 cup chicken stock (or chicken broth)
4] 1 1/2 Tbsp vinegar
5] 1 Tbsp lemon juice
6] 2 Tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
7] 3 Tbsp dark brown sugar
8] 1 Tbsp sweet paprika
9] 1 Tbsp dry mustard
10] 2 tsp kosher salt
11] 2 tsp chilli powder
12] 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:

1] Pat dry chicken pieces with paper towels, lightly season with salt and pepper
and set aside.
2] Heat two tablespoons of cooking oil in a large non-stick skillet over high heat.
Add the chicken skin side down and cook for about 3 minutes or until golden
brown. Transfer to a slow cooker.
3] Combine all of the ingredients for the BBQ sauce in a small bowl and whisk.
Pour BBQ sauce over chicken.
4] Set the slow cooker to Low and cook for 5-6 hours, or until the chicken is very
tender.
5] Serve immediately, or set the slow cooker to 'warm' until ready to serve.
