A taste your feel. In 2004 the company Papabubble was launched, reinterpreting traditional candy and turning it into a spectacle. Utilizing 10 years of confectionary skills and business knowledge, Papabubble offers a range of boiled 'rock' candy, as well as traditional, exotic sweets from other countries, sugar sculpture, jewell
ery and art, and a hugely popular personalized candy service for weddings and corporate clients. Currently Papabubble supplies to a very small and select group of retailers. In Spain the product is available at The Guggenheim in Bilbao, El Museo de Arte Thyssen-Bornemisza, in Madrid, LOMO Madrid, and of course Papabubble in Barcelona. While there are constant requests from other Spanish retailers wanting to stock Papabubble product, the artesanal nature of the manufacturing process means production is limited. Perhaps more importantly, the underlying philosophy of Papabubble dictates that restricting sales points to a handful of upmarket locations allows more control, and ultimately enhances the brands image. Outside of Spain the same philosophy applies. Papabubble exports to select stores in London, Paris and Germany. The first store to stock Papabubble outside of Spain was ‘Colette’ in Paris, famous for it’s quickness at spotting the latest trends, as well as Dean & Delucca in NYC. And other top clients like Galerie Printemps, Kaufhoff, La Grand Epicerie
Papabubble has recently collaborated and developed a product for the fashion & perfume brand ‘Comme de Garçons’. This is the most exciting project to date and is the largest project Papabubble has undertaken, with a production of 350,000 units. It is a showcase of innovation and evolutionary direction and illustrates the diversity and quality of products fashioned within the Papabubble concept.
