From picking healthy seed setts to gently unearthing giant, sweet tubers 8 to 12 months later, growing quality yellow yam is a true labor of love!

Every stage takes patience, care, and soil stewardship:
Selecting & treating strong seed setts
Building high mounds & mulching for moisture
Staking tall vines so leaves catch every ray of sun
Rebuilding soil ridges through the rainy season
Harvesting mature, nutrient-packed yellow yams ready for your table!

Every successful harvest begins with proper preparation. Back in February, the hardworking KBF farmers were already on the field forming ridges and preparing the land for a productive farming season. Agriculture is not just about planting and harvesting it is about dedication, patience, teamwork, and consistency every step of the way. Today, as the season progresses, we look back at these moments with pride, knowing that every ridge formed was a step toward food security, growth, and a better future for our communities. 🌱
