BlackCherry Farms

BlackCherry Farms Welcome to our 1876 farm where we raise Berkshire/Duroc heritage pigs; free-range chickens, eggs, ducks & turkeys.

We proudly offer our customers heritage Berkshire & Duroc pork raised on our 1876 farm near Wyoming, Ontario, Canada. We raise our pigs the old-fashioned way, with straw, toys, and lots of human interaction, plus tons of outside and mud puddle play time. Our pigs are healthy and happy, so we do not feed them antibiotics unless they get really sick. It's illegal in Canada to feed hormones to pigs,

so they never get those. From spring to fall we also have free-run chicken & duck eggs, as well as pork cuts and customizable pork boxes. We have limited amounts of quarter, half, and whole hogs in the FALL ONLY. During the holiday season (Oct-Dec) we offer free-run turkeys, handmade tourtiere meat pies, and gourmet food gift baskets. Our farm store is OPEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY FROM JUNE 11 TILL SEPTEMBER 30TH. You can pre-order your farm items on our online store (blackcherryfarms.com) and arrange to come out to the farm for pick up, or have us deliver for free within Lambton County. Please message us or call/text 519-381-1771 to place your order if you don't want to order online. From OCTOBER 1ST TILL DEC 30TH (with the exception of Christmas Day) the Farm Store will be open Saturdays & Sundays from 10-4.

We Started Small...

We started raising Berkshire pigs as a hobby on our small acreage just outside Alvinston, Ontario in 2010. At that time we were known as Six Pines Farm in honour of the enormous pine trees that lined the laneway of our property on both sides.

In 2013 we moved to our current farm outside Wyoming, ON and spent all of 2017 refurbishing the 150-year old barns on the property to house our Berkshire herd. After quite a few hiccups including a herd of pigs that ended up with a virus, we decided after some soul-searching to start from scratch. We culled all of our pigs except our best young sow Annelies, and at the same time we changed our farm name to better reflect what we are raising on our farm, which are heritage pigs and poultry.

Welcome to BlackCherry Farms!
