Today’s the day to stop in for some

Maritime Brown Bread!!!!!

Quantities are limited so come early!!

Also, now you can have your brown bread slices toasted for take-out or enjoy on the patio.

We were asked yesterday if we would sample so starting today for the next couple of weeks, come taste a piece of East Coast Life Heaven!!

For those who don’t know about brown bread, it is a sweet bread made with molasses, oats and wholewheat flour. It is best enjoyed covered in butter with baked beans, stew or chowders.

Happy Fathers’ Day to all the Dads out there. We hope your day was filled with all the love coming back your way ❤️❤️

From burgers to desserts- we put together homemade ingredients that make your meals extra special.

If you’re thinking about burgers this weekend- try some Perry Farm ground beef. Using our newest product for binder will put your meal over the top!!

We now offer crispy seasoned bread crumbs!!! They are fantastic!!!!
They can be your super power secret ingredient in your burgers or meatloaf, coating your fish or chicken, sprinkled on your mac n cheese or whatever else you need a binder, crispy coating or topping for.

If strawberries are on your list for this weekend- check out our homemade biscuits that double as shortcakes!!
We offer Limestone Organic Creamery Ltd creams and of course we’re stocked with fresh strawberries!!

If shortcake isn’t your cup of tea- grab one of our famous Strawberry Rhubarb pies 🥧!! These next two weeks may be the only time this year that fresh rhubarb and fresh strawberries are available at the same time. The difference between pies made with these two ingredients frozen vs fresh is like night and day. They’re worth the trip!!

UPDATE:
Since this post, we have had excellent response to the brown bread!
But Sarah has now left for the rest off the week. She is off to prepared to graduate and we will see her Monday.

Keeping this community in fresh baked goodies is no small feet!!

But guess who joined the team to learn the ropes and add her knowledge, expertise and flare to this team of 10!!!!

Her name is Sarah Powell and she is local to Sharbot Lake area and she is set to graduate this week with a certificate in Culinary Management from St. Lawrence College. We were in the right place at the right time and she fell right into the routine here!!!

In the first picture, you can see she has mastered the 35 lbs of dough we make 2 to 3 times a week in the summer.
She has also taken over our Focaccias and today she did a trial run on the ever popular East Coast Brown Bread!!!

If you know what this is and would like Sarah to put this into her routine……
Wish her a warm welcome and tell us if you’d like her to add East Coast Brown Bread to our menu!!!!!

Wow! What a day Revell Ford put on for their 90th anniversary!

Congratulations to everyone who worked really hard on this day. Preparations started months ago and the turn out was great!!
The community came out to celebrate with the Revell’s and their staff. Neighbours and friends got together to enjoy the performers, vendors and those who led the activities.

We want to thank the Revells for including us in their celebrations. We’d also like to thank all those who came to see us on Saturday as well. We got messages from customers from as far away as Smiths Falls messaging us to tell us they were coming to Verona for the Anniversary party and to let us know they’d be visiting us as well.
Whether you came from just up the street or far away- thank you for letting us be part of the fun!

We wish to remind folks that there were a couple hundred coupons given out on Saturday for a free kiddie cone.
Many were redeemed already but there are still lots yet to come in.
