Owned and operated by Kim and Dave Perry and family, our store is supplied by our farm, the Perry Farm in nearby Harrowsmith, other farmers and many other small, local businesses.

Time moves on and so do people. We just received news the Purest Natural Products Bakery in Perth will be closing their doors on Friday June 12th. Rob has decided to retire after many years in business. The bakery is a staple in Perth and will be greatly missed. Congratulations Rob on this difficult decision. We wish him all the best in the next stage of his life.

We’ve been retailing their baking products for almost 19 years and we’ve sold their pies almost as long.

The wholesale part of things will continue so we’ll continue to carry the gluten free flours, cookie mix, baking soda and powder, meat/fish crisps, along with their hot chocolates.

But at the end of this week will be our last order of gluten free pies.

If you’d like to stock up on a few, please message us on this page, call or email us your order by 5:00 PM Friday June 5th. The order will be delivered here and available for pick up Monday June 15th. Orders will need to be picked up by the end of the week as our freezer space is limited.

We have lots on order and are still taking orders until the end of the day. Those orders will be priced at 5.79/lb.

Everything on the shelf for walk-in sales will be priced at 5.99/lb

We’ll throw a few in the freezer for those who are travelling and want some frozen 🥶

Organ meat and feet will be ready by noon 🕛

Pieces will be ready by Wednesday at open!

We’re always amazed at the generosity of our customers. There are people out there who always think of others.

Last week, this sweet couple Anne Black and Bob approached us with the story that Bob made this “My First Rodeo” set up for their grandchildren over 20 years. Since it now sits idle with their grandchildren grown, they thought long and hard about who could benefit from it and thought of us.

We already have 1 saddle on loan from our daughter. For fun, it sits near the ice cream freezer where kids- or adults ….can sit still for a few minutes.

Now we have 2 saddles. This one is on wheels. Anyone can sit on it and is a perfect spot to enjoy an ice cream cone. 🤠

The first batch of Perry Farm chickens are almost ready. You can pick up fresh chickens from Tuesday to Saturday next week!

We’re taking orders until 5 PM Monday. Birds on order will be priced at 5.79/lb and those purchase from the shelf will be priced at 5.99/lb.

Pieces will be ready by Wednesday and will be available fresh until end of day Saturday. If you’d like to put an order in for pieces, contact us as soon as possible as we can only estimate the need and only plan to piece 30.

Good Saturday evening everyone.

We’d like to say thank you to everyone who helped spread the word that we were in need of help.

We’re happy to report that we’ve found 3 new candidates to support this little shop. One new candidate started this week, you may have met her already.
All told, our staff will be a team of 10!

We’ll be formalizing our new relationships and will introduce everyone as soon as possible.

Tonight I made a detour home so that the store will be a bit brighter come tomorrow morning.

Woohoo! We almost made it to the long weekend with Perry Farm chicken!!!

Truthfully-we sold out of pieces in the last week of April.

Back near the end of November and the first week in December on our last processing dates, we estimated how many chickens to piece to last until June. I believe that was around 60-75 birds 🐔

Dave Perry and Grant Perry did the honours and Lois Revelle did all the weighing, pricing and merchandising.
Yours truly did the packaging 😊
We’re about to do it all over again!

We are down to 3 whole chickens, 2 bags of necks & backs and chicken livers.
