Dane Baspaly has been a small business owner in Mount Pleasant for the
past 8 years. Baspaly has worked
with several organizations running fundraising events including
Inspired Health, Growing Chefs, and the Mount Pleasant Elementary
School. Prior to running his own business Mr. Baspaly was an Art
Director and Prop Master in th
e Motion Picture Industry. Mike McGinn – Legal Analyst
Michael McGinn is a Washington state licensed attorney and business/technical content developer who has recently relocated to Vancouver from Seattle, Washington. Michael has obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration- Management Information Systems from the University of Central Florida and graduated with a Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in 2007. Michael brings several years of legal and business consulting experience to the Mt. Pleasant Food Cooperative and is excited about the vision that the current Board holds for the co-op’s future. Jessica Wadsworth – Project Manager
Jessica Wadsworth is a Cultural Manager and Fundraiser that has lived and worked in Vancouver since 2004. She has worked on large-scale projects both nationally and internationally for such prestigious cultural events as The Cultural Capitals of Canada (2008), The Cultural Olympiad through the Office of Cultural Affairs of Vancouver, and recently won a Next Generation Arts Leadership award that saw her receive professional development training through the Centre for Non-Profit Sustainability and Vantage Point Media. Jessica is also passionate about her neighbourhood and has recently started a local farmer’s market and serves as Co-Chair of Mt Pleasant’s New Works Society. Scott Roberts – Financial Partnership Manager
Scott Roberts is a senior administrator & business development specialist with a 10 year history at developing successful start-up through growth stage companies in clean technology, social justice, entertainment and industrial design. Roberts trained at the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies at McGill University. He brings a passion for his community, food security, and sustainability to Mount Pleasant Food Co-op
Marty Frost – Co-op Development Consultant
Marty Frost is a founding member of Devco. A recognized leader in the field, Marty has worked in every aspect of the co-op sector: as general manager of a large worker co-op for a decade, as an advisor to provincial and federal government policy-makers, and as a consultant to dozens of new and existing co-ops.
