Dear Twillingate, this one is very close to our hearts. ❤️
For 45 incredible years, Lorraine Cooper has been more than just a familiar face at Your Independent Grocer. She has been a part of our community, a part of our everyday lives, and a part of so many families' stories.
Think about it… 45 years. ❤️
That's generations of families walking through our doors. Little children growing up, becoming parents themselves, and returning with their own children. Through all those years, one familiar face has always been there — our Lorraine. 🥹
Behind those 45 years are countless early mornings, long days, sacrifices, friendships, laughter, and a lifetime of dedication that deserves to be celebrated.
As Lorraine prepares for her well-deserved retirement at the end of November, we want to do something truly special for her.
And we cannot imagine celebrating someone who has given so much to this community without the community she has spent 45 years serving. ❤️

When I came to Twillingate to begin this new chapter of my life, you chose to stay one more year to help me settle in. You didn't have to, but you did. And that is exactly the kind of person you are.
You have been my strength, my support, and someone I could always count on. I will forever be grateful for the kindness you showed me and my family.
But this celebration is about something much bigger than just our store.
It's about honouring a woman who has given 45 years of her life to serving this little community we all call home.
