We spent a wonderful evening hosting the Dufferin 4-H Fruit & Vegetable Club for a farm tour! It was great to share our farm, talk about growing nutrient dense soil and food, and to see enthusiasm from the next generation of agricultural leaders. We always enjoy connecting with youth who are passionate about farming, food, and learning.

Turning compost this morning. You know the soil is alive when it’s steaming. Tiny microbes living and dying turn scraps into black gold.

Busy days on the farm require all hands on deck. Yesterday we got the first planting of English pod peas in the ground and transplanted almost 1000 tomato seedlings into the hoop houses. Brian was able to prep land for the big Brussels sprouts plant next week and the crew continued to dig and divide rhubarb roots. Grateful for all of the hard working hands around here!

Finally able to get some roots in the ground! Big planting year in 2026 when all is said and done over 40000 roots will be planted.

The first asparagus spears have started to poke up! Although we won’t be harvesting for a few weeks or so, we have some beautiful Ontario Asparagus available in the market. Stop in this weekend and grab some for dinner!
