Market Vendors: This free workshop is designed for more than traditional tourism operators. If you grow it, build it, cook it, harvest it, create it, or carry local knowledge, this applies to you. Visitors today want hands-on, real experiences with real people, and you may already have what it takes to offer something truly unique.

Looking to turn what you already do into something visitors will truly remember?

Mind Your Business Cumberland and Tourism Nova Scotia are hosting a hands-on Experience Development Workshop designed to help local businesses and makers shape everyday skills, stories, and assets into compelling visitor experiences.

This session is for more than just traditional tourism operators. If you’re in culinary, baking, woodworking, farming, blueberry production, agri-food, arts, guiding, or have a unique skill or story to share, this workshop will help you think differently about how visitors can engage with what you do.

Participants will work through guided activities, real-world case studies, and small-group discussions to:
• Better understand who is visiting and what different visitors are looking for
• Design experiences that meet visitor expectations
• Identify key moments that make experiences memorable
• Strengthen storytelling, flow, and overall experience design
• Explore practical ways to add value within local capacity and seasonality

Details:
February 26 | 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Centre, 6 Main St. Springhill
Snow date: March 5 (participants will be emailed directly if postponed)

Requirements:
• Must have, or be eligible for, a free business listing on NovaScotia.com (Tourism Nova Scotia)
• Must be in business and operating for a minimum of one year

A big thank you to our partners at Tourism Nova Scotia for supporting experience development in Cumberland and helping our local businesses think creatively about what’s possible.
