Hey everyone!

We just wanted to share that our dad (our pastor!) is putting on a series of meetings for our community covering all kinds of really interesting Biblical topics like current events and Bible Prophecy. The meetings will be held in Yarmouth at the Rodd Grand Hotel starting this coming Monday evening! (𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀).

We will be there helping with the music and other things at the meetings and thought we'd invite you all to come if you are interested and check it out!

We believe that though there is much unrest and uncertainty in our world today, God, through the Bible, predicted the unsettling events that we are experiencing in these days. And even better, He lets us know that He has a plan for us and that there is hope yet to come!

These topics and much more will be presented in the meetings starting this coming Monday. Everyone is welcomed and invited!

Hello Everyone!

🌸It's spring time (well, at least according the calendar- not sure if the weather has caught up yet)!!

👨‍🔧👩‍🌾We've been quiet on here for a few months, but the farm hasn't been quiet! We have been busy with lots of exciting improvements and of course lots of pruning.

➡️🍎Also, we have all our 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 ordered for this year's nursery! So you can be thinking about what kind of fruit trees you'd like to purchase this year. :) We will let you know closer to the time when we will be opening (late April, early May).

Looking forward to seeing everyone come to the farm again in just a few months!

Its been a cold and snowy few weeks, hasn't it?

📰🌞🌤☀We have some good news! The weather will be finally warm enough for us to open our stand up for Friday (January 9) of this week and Sunday (January 11) of next week. These will be the last days we will be open for selling fruit till next season (starting in August).

Here's what we will have in the stand:

🥧It's time to start thinking about apple pie again (well... in our opinion any day is apple pie day🤠)!

🍎🍎IDA REDS ARE GREAT FOR PIES! If you want a really good apple pie apple use Ida Red! These are an old fashioned apple that have kind of been forgotten about in the mix of all the new apple varieties that have come out. They are AMAZING for apple pies, sauce, freezing, salads, and just for eating as a healthy snack! Not to mention they are the longest lasting storage apple that we have on our farm!

🎄✨Fun Fact: Bosc pears are also known as Christmas pears because they become nice and juicy/sweet at Christmas time! Which also means they are a great storage pear. They hold shape very nicely when preserving/baking.

🍎Also, while we are talking about storing pears… did you realize you can have farm fresh apples through the winter?
🍎🍎IDA RED apples are AMAZING storage apples! If kept in a cool, dry place they can keep till April (we had a few customers try it out!!) They taste great too!

It’s a beautiful sunny day today here on the farm!

🍏🍎🍐 Did you know we still have fresh fruit grown right here on our farm in our stand? (We also have DROP APPLES and DEER CARROTS -drop apples are right from our farm!!)

😲💯A little side note: On Wallace Brothers Farm we are seeking to grow more healthy and nutrient dense fruit every year. This year we focused primarily on soil health, which directly impacts fruit health. Not all the fruit that is found in the big stores is grown with the consumers health in mind! We are seeking to grow products that will not only look and taste good, but also be full of nutrition. Anyways… more on that later.
